Pristine Automatic Garage Door in Bottesford
Yesterday, we had the pleasure of fitting a brand new automatic garage door in Bottesford. This wasn't just any door - it was a GDS sectional in the sleek Vortex form. There's something really satisfying about seeing a job well done, especially when it comes with a few challenges that we manage to overcome.
The Challenges of Fitting This Automatic Garage Door
First off, the garage itself was quite a tight space. If you've ever tried fitting a square peg into a round hole, you’ll know what I mean. But that's what makes our job interesting. It’s not just about installing a door - it’s about problem-solving and ensuring everything fits perfectly despite the constraints. This particular garage also had a gas pipe coming in from the front. We had to carefully work around this, ensuring the frame fit snugly without compromising safety or functionality.
Emergency Manual Release - a Crucial Addition
One interesting feature we included was an Emergency Manual Release (EMR). Since this new automatic garage door is the only entrance to the garage, having an EMR is essential. Imagine a power cut – you'd be stuck outside with no way to get in! The EMR allows you to disable the motor and switch the door to manual mode from the outside. It's a small feature, but it can make a huge difference in an emergency. We always recommend and fit these when the garage door is the sole point of entry.
A Happy Ending with the Perfect Fit
Despite the challenges, the installation went smoothly, thanks to the increased flexibility of the GDS fitting pack. This pack is a lifesaver in unusual spaces like this one. It's designed to accommodate a variety of constraints, making it possible to fit a sectional door where you might not expect it to fit.
When the job was done, the customers were absolutely thrilled. Seeing their excitement was the icing on the cake for us. There's nothing quite like the satisfaction of knowing you've made someone's life a little easier and their home a bit more secure.
